イタリアの家具工場「BONACINA(ﾎﾞﾅﾁﾅ)」に家具修理のための金具部品を送って欲しいとのメールを送ってから数日、やっとそれらしき返信が来た。

いつもなら迷惑メール、スパムメールとして削除してしまう英語タイトルであった。

だってまず件名が「Your enquery on spare parts.」、さらに送信者が「Sally Tai」、普通なら削除しちゃいますよ。「BONACINA(ﾎﾞﾅﾁﾅ)」にメールを送信してからは、英文メールを注意して見ていたので、今回も件名の「spare parts」で、スペアーパーツ・・・・、つまり交換部品との単語を見て、これはひょっとして「BONACINA(ﾎﾞﾅﾁﾅ)」からの返信メールではないかと思ったわけです。英語に弱い四代目にもわかりやすい表記に感謝だぜぇー!!

返信内容は、
「Dear Mr Koichi,
Greetings

Thank you for your enquiry, I have checked with our Italy office on your behalf on the pricing of the required spare parts for BONACINA Astoria Chair. The component indicated in the picture is Euro 180. if you are ordering we can offer you a 10% discount. We are selling our products on Ex factory basis, which means you need to arrange your forwarder to pick up the goods from our Italy office, therefore we will not be able to responsible for the custom clearance and taxes. Please do not use TNT/DHL/UPS as they cannot use our invoice for custom clearance.

Our Italy will be cease operation for Summer closure, so please advise us on the quantity if you need these parts soon. As for payment, the billing details will be reflected in our invoice.

We appreciate your interest on our products and look forward to serving you again in the near future.
